Essential products for winter hair care

In the cold and windy winter, it is very important to design a cold-proof skin care routine for your skin. The same goes for hair! The cold, dry air of winter can strip moisture from your hair, causing it to become dehydrated and brittle. A winter hair care routine is essential to protect your hair from the outside environment.

Since my hair is color-treated, I need products that will hydrate my hair and keep it healthy, shiny, and silky. I chose two hair care regimens to achieve my hair care goals: a hair and scalp treatment that hydrates and strengthens, and a nourishing hair oil. Since lash care is also important in cold weather, I also added a lash serum!

CCLIMGLAM – Dual care product for hair and scalp

Speaking of hair care ingredients, it is well known that amino acids can repair damaged hair, inhibit hair loss, and protect hair from external damage. If you have dyed hair, amino acids can help lock in and extend the color of your hair.

CCLIMGLAM’s dual-action hair and scalp treatment contains 18 amino acids, including glutamic acid, methionine and cysteine, to relieve symptoms of hair loss by strengthening hair follicles and improving hair elasticity. The hypoallergenic formula is infused with botanical extracts such as broccoli extract, onion extract and mugwort extract to soothe the scalp, nourish hair follicles and promote hair growth.

Use hair and scalp care products after shampooing, just like you would conditioner. Replace the product cap with the nozzle cap and apply an appropriate amount to your hair and scalp. Gently massage into hair and scalp, then rinse with warm water.

I used the Hair and Scalp Duo every other day during my two-week trial and it left my hair feeling soft, smooth, and shiny. After using it, my hair stays tangle-free all day long and is easy to comb.

AROMATICA – Ritual Hair Oil

Hair oil can transform the way you take care of your hair during the winter as it helps protect your hair from outside factors. AROMATICA’s Ritual Hair Oil is rich in botanical nutrients such as five-cornered maple seed oil, babassu oil, rosehip oil, canaca flower oil, coconut oil and moringa oil to deeply nourish and hydrate hair. This silicone-free hair oil locks in moisture and protects hair from aggressors, leaving it smooth and frizzy-free. Apply pomade to wet hair before using heat styling tools. The pomade formula acts as a natural heat protectant.

I use Ritual Hair Oil occasionally whenever I need to tame frizzy hair. Once applied, the hair oil leaves my hair full of shine without leaving a greasy residue. I recommend applying a pump of hair oil to your palms, rubbing your hands together to warm it, and then using your fingers to gently work it into your hair. I focus on applying the hair oil to the ends of my hair to provide extra nourishment and prevent split ends. The subtle scents of lavender and patchouli make me feel soothed and happy when I use the hair oil.

Benton – Eyelash Serum

While we often focus on enhancing the appearance of our lashes, it’s equally important to take care of them, especially after applying mascara or false lashes and using harsh makeup removers. Just like hair, eyelashes can become dry and brittle during winter due to dry air.

To keep my eyelash follicles healthy and strong, I use Benton’s Honest Eyelash Serum. It’s rich in 17 amino acids, including glutamic acid, aspartic acid and arginine, as well as various peptides to strengthen fragile lashes and prevent breakage. Sodium hyaluronate, betaine and panthenol provide extra moisturizing benefits to lashes. The eyelash serum comes with a ball-top roller that applies evenly to each lash.

As someone who loves a minimalist look, I put this eyelash serum to the test by replacing my usual black mascara. I first curl my lashes with an eyelash curler and then apply Honest Eyelash Serum. After two weeks of daily use, my eyelashes are longer, thicker, moisturized and curlier! I didn’t experience any irritation during the trial.
